About Quivarra

Built at the Coast of Kenya for Traders Who Take Execution Seriously

Quivarra was founded in Malindi to solve a specific, unglamorous problem: unreliable broker API connections that cause automated strategies to fail at the worst moments.

What Quivarra Does, in Plain Language

Quivarra is a software platform that sits between your trading strategy and your brokerage account. You define your entry and exit rules in our rule editor; the platform authenticates with your broker's API, monitors the connection continuously, and submits orders when your conditions are met. The platform does not generate trading ideas, does not manage your money and does not have discretion over your account. It executes the instructions you configure, within the risk limits you set, and logs everything it does in a format you can inspect. We serve individual traders, small trading groups and proprietary trading desks who already have a defined strategy and want reliable, auditable automated execution rather than manual order entry. Our primary market is Kenya — particularly clients in Nairobi, Mombasa, and the Coast region — with a growing number of users across East Africa.

How the Team Works and What We Have Shipped

Quivarra was founded in 2021 by a team of three engineers with backgrounds in financial data infrastructure and network reliability. The founding problem was personal: two of the founders had experienced broker-API connection drops that caused live strategies to submit duplicate orders during a reconnection attempt, resulting in unintended position sizing. That specific failure mode is now handled by the platform's connection daemon, which has been tested against nine distinct broker API implementations since launch. As of mid-2024, the platform has processed more than 1.2 million order evaluation cycles across active client accounts, with a connection-uptime record of 99.3% measured over rolling 30-day windows. The team operates from Malindi with remote contributors in Nairobi. We maintain a deliberate limit of one major feature release per quarter, so that each capability is tested thoroughly before it reaches client accounts. We do not add features because they look impressive on a pricing page — we add them because a documented client failure mode requires them. Our azure-trust interface design reflects this philosophy: every element you see in the dashboard has a functional purpose, and we remove anything that does not contribute to your understanding of the system's current state.

What Quivarra Does Not Do

We want to be direct about the limits of what this platform provides. Quivarra does not offer investment advice, signal services or managed accounts. If you do not have a tested trading strategy, automating an untested one through Quivarra will not make it profitable — it will simply execute losses faster and more consistently. The platform's backtest reports are diagnostic tools, not return forecasts; past simulation results do not guarantee equivalent live performance. Our risk controls protect against runaway automated execution, but they cannot compensate for a strategy with a negative expected value. We also do not support every broker: if your brokerage does not expose a REST or FIX API, or restricts third-party connectivity, Quivarra cannot connect to it. We confirm API compatibility during the free evaluation period so you are not committing to a paid plan before you know integration is possible.
